We all carry grief. I believe it is one of the things contributing to depression, anxiety, feelings of emptiness that we are not treating with the right medicine. This is why I hold regular in person and online community grief rituals #grief #griefsupport #ritual
It’s hard to convey the idyllic way I grew up, as close as we get to tribe among white genetic mutts in California. The back to land movement of the 1970’s brought families to to the San Geronimo valley–nestled between Fairfax and Point Reyes in West Marin. My dad built our house on a creek and I grew up catching crawdads and accepting that cats get eaten by coyotes.

I got to share the grief ritual at a festival full of change makers in the realms of psychedelic research and policy and ethical non-monogamy/biggering the box of chosen family. I think at 49 I’ve found my perfect niche.
Can you believe it? It’s not.
Just wrapped up a whole year of Wild Women Rising. It’s the best high I’ve ever had, listening to the women share the shifts and knowing the ripples of these shifts: the ending of ancestral trauma lineages, the love, joy, and ferocity unleashed, patriarchy shaken, more authenticity and tears and unapologetic sexiness and sass. Permission to be funky.
The night I first took the Estrodial for a spin I had been turning myself on all night. Dancing to brass bands in my red dress, I was smoking hot, and all the other middle aged women knew it. Later that night, me and my Magic Wand, it was….magical.
I made myself a Valentines Day card. Two summers ago I married myself. It’s been really lovely.
